Shachar Birenbaum & Shamil Alkhazov

Shamil is a medic on the Golani medical team, currently stationed in Gaza. His unit takes care of soldiers that get injured.

We are both Israeli and met in medical school in Rome. We were in the same class and after five years we started dating, and one year later on June 2023 we got engaged, a month before graduation. The wedding was scheduled to 26.11.23 but got postponed due to the war.
