Ella Turm & Aviav Rabinowitz

  Aviav was in the parachutes unit during his service and was called up for miluim on the 7th of October. Since then his unit was involved in many operations in the West Bank and for the last two moths in Gaza. Ella was in an intelligence unit during her service and was called up to miluim as well.

 

We met during our army service and six months after we got released, Aviav proposed. We were so excited to start our life together and build our own family. We set a date for the 5th of November 2023.

On the 7th of October the war started and Aviav was called up to the army. Wedding plans stopped. We knew that we didn’t want to postpone the wedding, but things weren’t easy and we couldn’t talk to each other because Aviav was very busy fighting the war.

We decided to have a small wedding and whoever could come would. Most of our friends are in the army and it was a very difficult choice to make and a lot to give up on- but we did it, We got married the 3rd of November, a lot of our family and loved ones could not make it. But some surprised us and came straight from the army for a few ours to celebrate with us.

A week later Aviav went back to the army and Ella was called up to the army as well. Since we got married we saw each other twice for a short weekend. We have beautiful sweet dog named bell waiting for us to come home.
